Mouse City Valley Returns to Evergreen Brickworks

We’re bringing back our successful Mouse City Valley program for the second year to t Evergreen Brickworks (550 Bayview Ave). City-builders aged 4-12 are invited to join us on Sunday, May 12th, 10am-3pm for a FREE model-building session. No registration required.

Kids can build a model city out of craft and recyclable materials to tell the story of how they imagine cities could be built to highlight the importance of nature in our lives.

How will mice travel around this city? Where will mice live, work, and play? Who has historically called the valley home prior the incorporation of Mouse City?

Participants can explore these ideas and questions, along with much more, through the construction of the buildings and landscape of Mouse City Valley.

Materials will be provided. But participants are encouraged to supplement these building options by bringing cleaned, recycled materials, such as egg cartons, 1L plastic bottles, and paper towel rolls. PLEASE DO NOT BRING GLASS.

Mouse City Valley is tailored for families with kids aged 4-12, however everyone is welcome to join, no registration required.

Children MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

Food will not be served. You’re welcome to  bring snacks. There’s also a cafe on site at Evergreen Brickworks.

Evergreen BrickWorks is accessible by public transit, bicycle and car. For a handy guide to how getting there, click here.
